  89.           current or proposed Federal legislation that affects your
  90.           Second Amendment rights. Action in both the House of

  93.           Specific Affairs) you should be able to formulate a good
  94.           picture of the legislative scene as it affects you in your
  95.           state and your country.

  98.           The State-specific Affairs directory (abbrev. to STATE)
  99.           contains text files describing current or proposed Federal
  100.           legislation that affects your Second Amendment rights. Both the
  101.           House of Representatives and the Senate are tracked here.

  103.           States) you should be able to formulate a good picture of the

  108.           The Women's Issues directory covers events of interest to
  109.           women, including Women's Personal Protection seminars, Women's
  110.           Introductory and Advanced Hunting Programs, and Women's
  111.           Shooting Competition Programs. More and more, women are finding
  112.           a voice in the traditionally male-dominated shooting sports and
  113.           firearms civil rights areas, and this is the place to seek the
  114.           latest, up-to-date information in this rapidly growing segment
  115.           of the shooting population.

  118.           The General Firearms Issues directory contains text files
  119.           covering issues not specifically encompassed by the Federal and
  120.           State Affairs, Women's Issues, or ILA directories. This
  121.           includes informational mailings and opinion pieces, papers on
  122.           firearms-related subjects, and other general Second Amendment
  123.           writings. It also tracks many of NRA's Sporting and Civic
  124.           Program areas, such as Gun Safety Training, Certified
  125.           Instructor and Training Counselor programs, Law Enforcement and
  126.           Security Firearms Instructor Certification, Hunting Instructor
  127.           Education and Skills Development, and the NRA Young Hunter
  128.           Marksmanship Program. Combined with the other specialty
  129.           directories, it serves to round out NRA's coverage of fireams
  130.           and firearms civil rights issues.

  133.           The ILA, NRA's Institute for Legislative Action, provides a
  134.           front line of defense against anti-gun legislation. This area
  135.           tracks ILA's efforts to wage legislative battles in the cities,
  136.           counties, state capitals, and in the halls of the U.S.
  137.           Congress. It also outlines ILA's efforts to enact tough
  138.           crime-fighting proposals and strengthen state and federal
  139.           criminal justice programs.
